The Meadoway, 200ha

When a path dead ends into a sidewalk is the inference that cyclists are intended to use the sidewalk?
Who knows! I wish more thought was put into this, at the moment, there are several awkward spots where legally I guess you would need to dismount. Not just on the new segments that aren’t properly connected yet either - the trail connection at Kennedy also dead ends into a sidewalk unless you take the Givendale Rd exit and cross into the park via Ranstone Gardens.

There's a sign at Kennedy (or at least there was in 2018) that advises "CYCLISTS DISMOUNT TO CROSS ROADWAY".

I wonder if their insurance company realizes that they are recommending crossing there?

Update: the segment from Marcos to midland is open, but the part that dead-ends west of midland is still yet to be paved:

While checking out the newest stretch of The Meadoway from Midland to Marcos, I noticed a new bridge was under construction west of Midland pictured here. You can read more about The Meadoway on my blog

Slowly getting closer to filling the gap between Midland and Kennedy. Heck, shoehorning a trail down the rail corridor to the Moorgate Bridge would be a huge improvement.

Could you clarify where this trail would go, @Metroscapes ? It would be a really tight squeeze on the east side given the existing homes. The west side would be a lot easier, though it's unknown when that bridge over the Stouffville rail corridor could get built given the need to co-ordinate with Metrolinx for track closures.

From a screengrab from my End of Line 3 video, I had suggested going up the east side (purple line), but looking closer at recent aerial imagery of the double-tracking, I now see that's impossible. A direct connection would be better.
