259 Geary Ave (The Brick redevelopment, TAS, ?s, Lemay)

So they are stacking those red warehouses on concrete stilts? Not sure how transport trucks are supposed to get to them, but it kinda looks cool though.

Important to start off by saying, they appear to be at the blue-skying phase.

In that linked presentation, one of the next steps is to hire an engineer to assess over-buildability.

So they're really at the high level concept stage.

*****

That said, I wouldn't think transport trucks will be a huge feature here.

They're identifying retail, urban agriculture, art/community/ business incubation type occupancy.

But no indication of warehouse/industry or big box retail.

Ground-floor loading with freight elevators should suffice; presuming this concept is advanced further.

Oh well...they'll be much more than just suspended Brick warehouses then. Then that concept makes much more sense now. Thanks! :)

OK, this is cool but I am definitely not going to give them a pass for plagiarizing large chunks of copy from a 2011 BlogTO article.

I ran the paragraph above though a plagiarism detector:

This was what it had to say:
