steveve's Toronto city model

Steveve i cant get over how awesome all of this is. I have spent the last 10 minutes typing and deleting and typing and deleting trying to express how ridiculously cool your model is, but the words arent coming to me so this will have to suffice

This is awesome steveve... So when are you going to take up the challenge of Old City Hall? ;)

lol. got lazy to build old city hall. not exciting enough so i get distracted into building other things (same category as Metro Hall/Roy Thompson which i still haven't built). but i'll get to them when the time's right

Update May 13, 2012:

I've built as far north as i can, Mowat Block is completed to the north (aka Wellesley),

blocks i've left empty are for what i believe to be potential redevelopment (a lot around Yonge/College, like the north-west and south-west corners.

although someone please tell me if those buildings won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

also, blocks i've left empty are for blocks with proposals (like 880 Bay, 500 Yonge twins, Karma, and 460 Yonge.)

Questions:

Anyone know if there are any chances of Karma Condos or Massey Tower getting height increases/reductions? because i will build them if not,

If anyone has any info on the Atrium on Bay 5 storey addition and where they'll be adding the height please tell me.

Also, if anyone has any more renders/info on the massing of the City Hall 2 condo (forget the name but it's the condo at Bay/Dundas) please tell me as well :)

Thanks if you guys can help me out.

*And forget the fact that INDX is knocked over in this pic, didn't realize it when i took the photo lol.

Quite a bit of progress over this past weekend.

- Old City Hall is partially complete (the roof isn't finished yet).
- Karma condos has a lot of height going for it/impact on the skyline... WAY more so than i expected.
- More of University Ave including Residences of the RCMI

thanks! ^

I got tired of waiting, so i built Massey Tower and 88 Scott (not very accurately, but it gets the job done).

Massey tower's impact will be HUGE on the skyline from the east/west. wow. it's crazy.

88 Scott also has pretty big impact on the financial district in terms of visually expanding it.

Furthermore, some more blocks extending University Ave. north were built, as well as the MET condos

Not a whole lot of progress, i've slowed down quite a bit lately, but i finally got around to building Metro Hall,
also, the entertainment district/university ave continues northwards.

lol, thanks ^ and awesome clapping action

not a whole lot of progress, but this thing IS slowly but surely expanding. pretty soon i'm gonna get another base and expand northward. doubling the model area.

when you get that second board you should move the model up a bit so you can build south.

also, it would be awesome if i could see a front on shot like it was from the toronto islands!

yup, ^ i definitely wanna get around to doing Southcore and bunch (10 york, etc.)

But more importantly, Bloor street/Bay street north,

and ya, i'll try to get a pic from the south of the skyline, and i'll be getting more skyline shots once i replace the old model that's sitting on a proper table with this new one. Cause with the old one, it's sitting against a white backdrop making it easier to take photos, whereas this one i have to put on the floor for photos,

The CN Tower and Skydome (yes, it's Skydome) would also do wonders. Looking great steveve keep up the awesome work

You really do have a great gift. Your model building skills are extradinary and a true artform and we all greatly appreciate your work and sharing it with us.
