Watching it go up right now--that is one messy muddy pit @st jo's!

Being too lazy to find out what's up there (even though I seem to spend more time there than at home), anyone know what the deal is?

Looks like they are replacing a heavy piece of equipment; ie, MRI equipment.

Tower crane is to stay to build a new wing announced in 2006 under ReNew Hospital plan:

Sadly, I find myself going to St Jo's frequently again these days....

Didn't get a photo today, but as I drove by this site today I noticed zero progress on site: did credit crunch munch these guys for lunch?

St. Joe's website continues to post monthly updates - it's just a little behind, that's all.

Why did they take the crane down? Is building in financial difficulty? I hadn't seen any construction on the site in many months....

Phase 2 is back on track--I see crane going up. Phase 1 was parking structure. Phase 2 needed more fundraising and waiting for cheaper labour. Looks like St Jo's timed it right.

5 June 2010: I spied the crane coming down around noon before I went on my gigantic long walk.

Before I left (12:30pm or so):

How fitting then, near the end of my walk around 7pm, I spy the crane removal crew pulling out of the site.

What I saw:

I think it would be fun to drive this truck around town--good to pick up hotties, eh?

The building itself is...poo.
