I heard a rumour the other day that this site has been sold to a developer for $40 million dollars. The rumour also states the school (not sure about the convent) is moving to the corner of Hilda and Drewry where a French school currently sits. Anybody have any info on this?

edit - Many convents are moving to seniors homes...this move was a natural fit for both Tyndale and the nuns, as the media release above suggests, but I forget what's to happen with the high school itself.

edit - googling reveals the TCDSB wants to keep St. Joe's, preferably in the same area, but the province will have to fork over some $ to either purchase and/or build and/or lease a new site. That French school site seems like a reasonable possibility.

yet another edit - I should add that the convent had already sold off part of the site to developers, and the McMansions on Bowan Court were the result.
