Should gas stoves be banned?

If you had a gun held to your head and you had to answer correctly, would you say with 100% certainty that there are no harmful health consequences from elecromagnetic radiation, lithium batteries etc?

My bet is youd answer that you don't know, and thats okay. Neither of us know and it's asinine to pretend otherwise.

All of our conveniences of modern life come with risks, and its silly to pick and choose which ones are worthy of bans when the risks involve so many variables that its impossible to measure etc.

Maybe Im an extremist, but Id rather let the consumer make their own choice than the government. The prospect of someone working hard, paying a premium for a unit and then having the feature stripped away is not fair. Especially considering people are living longer than ever and have been cooking with gas (and electric ) for decades. These bans and government legislation are a devestating example of wasted funding/capital misallocation that could be better spent on increasing housing supply/improving transit.

At some point, it is not going to make sense to plumb new developments with natural gas infra. I'm not sure we should force everyone to bear the cost of 'choice'. Currently, rate-payers are forced to subsidize the installation of new gas infrastructure.

Sorry, no. Electromagnetic radiation from induction, cell phones, radio, etc. is long wave (like on the red side), and is non-ionizing. Short wave radiation (UV, microwave, gamma) is ionizing and potentially dangerous.
