Where the Lone Star was once and has gone through numerous new owners with nightclubs since then.

Its &company now if I remember correctly.

Google MAPS (this view is about four years old): Kariya and Burnhamthorpe across the street from SQ1 behind the Sussex centre next to Kariya Park. It's an &company restaurant.

That &Company has been opened less than a year and isn't doing too badly from what I've heard, and there's already plans to replace it? Man, that corner really is cursed!

Kariya and Enfield. It's in the thread title FFS.

&co does OK, but their rooftop patio is a sore spot for neighbors in terms of noise. Many restaurants and bars have come and gone, so replacing that building with a hotel would be a great move... just not sure how much u/g parking they can squeeze under such a small property. They'd probably have to make an arrangement with the lot down towards Novotel, but even that is a prime spot for development in the near future.

Apologies. I assumed that was the name of a developer as the address usually comes before the brackets which contains the firms working on the project as well as the scope of work.

Agreed - higher makes sense but it's a very tight plot. I think Sussex next door is 16S, so it would be nice if it was similar in height but have the (seemingly) illuminated crown would extend a touch further and be visible from more angles.

I actually dislike the way the Enfield crescent was plunked in there off Kariya at all, but the eventual connection with Webb will help, along with whatever development eventually fills the plot of land across the street.

Interesting that this says 26s because the render certainly does not reflect that...typo? 26s would be preferrable as it would be quite sleek and slender.

As far as that render goes, 26s could work if the units facing Kariya are loft units, with regular hotel rooms on the other side(s).

It looks like it would be a 2 story main floor, 2 floors or amenities, 10 double loft style floors, a penthouse level in the bottom portion of the glass roof element (maybe a bar or restaurant), then mechanical.
