Some of the work done by developers to make their renderings and vision lifelike is breathtaking (see AdHoc). However, ultimately they never come out exactly as you would have hoped.
For fun, I took a look at the Montage website http://www.cityplace.ca/montage_le/index.asp
The amenity space in particular is pretty funny. The rock climbing wall we have definitely doesn't look anything like renderings. The gym looks a lot bigger and the pool looks awesome.
I know there are creative liberties taken. What are some examples that you have seen that either came through really well (possibly better than expected) came through very poorly.
