This area has changed soo much. I remember in the 80's the parking lots were huge. You could look upp at BoM tower and marvel at the distance and height. Now it is downtown.
I also remember SCTV using the parking lots that now house CBC and Simco Place for shoots. RIP John Candy.
Does anyone remember the railroad tracks and siddings in these parking lots?

All I'm saying is that the new design isn't as impressive as the old one. It's still a nice building, but for me, it doesn't have that "flagship building" look of the biggest office development in the city in 15 years. It just doesn't. The first one did.
When I said suburban, I was referring to some of the reasonably tall buildings that can be found in Etobicoke or the Yonge and Sheppard area. Not Brampton.

This is exciting news indeed. 43 stories and 610 ft will make very nice impact on the skyline. Imagine driving in from the Gardiner and laying your eyes on this beauty, right next to a sparkling Ritz Carlton tower.
I think people should refrain from jumping the gun and being dissapointed. We should all rejoice, the last time we had a 600 ft office building in T.O was 14 years ago. Now lets hope BA makes some news soon...

The taller podium will fit better on Wellington with the CBC Building, Icons, and Soho Met. Maybe Ritz would consider adding a floor or two to their podium. Imagine the canyon!

at 610 ft and 43 stories thats about 14.2 ft floor.im guessing that most new office towers will be in the 14 ft -15 ft a floor
range so what im trying to say is that menkes could be about 450 ft based on 32 floors.over 400 for sure.
