Wow, great Hamilton photos. There are some really amazing retro details to be found all over that city. Such a great collection of typography and design.

Those fountains at Centre Mall really bring back memories of being a kid and running up and down the sides.

Another great set of Hamilton shots. Thanks for these Flar. Funny how yesterday's modern is today's retro.

There's some great stuff there. Where are the Ringo Starr and George Harrison located and why are they there?

The piscean Beatles from the Abbey Road album cover are painted across the windows of a fish and chips restaurant in West Hamilton. It's located in the cluster of apartments along Main West where it turns and heads up the mountain toward Ancaster.

Great shots. I recently took a walking tour of Barton from Kenilworth to Wellington that I've got to get back to. Barton is the street that time forgot. That section of east Hamilton also has a lot of interesting 1960s retro as well.

I like what you did with the images - added a bit of a yellow/coffee faded colouring, like you scanned them from pictures developed at the Fotomat at Greater Hamilton Shopping Centre in 1977.

Butty tower, with its vertical smile symbol, is one of the more Benny Hill-ish architectural flourishes I've seen in quite some time.

That's for sure.

Oh, and that Parkdale School, with the totem pole in the entrance, is a real discovery...

Very awesome stuff! That has totally inspired me to do the same thing in Mississauga. There is actually quite a bit of retro stuff here too.

RETRO pics: Nice!

Flar: Good RETRO pics from Hamilton I presume? Alot of 50s and 60s architecture here and they are mostly all classics-especially some of that stonework. Good stuff that may never be duplicated again...LI MIKE

Wow, those are glorious... you can almost imagine you're back in the sixties. I had no idea that was Hamilton; I was wondering how I'd missed ALL of that in Toronto... nothing looked familiar. Then when I read it was Hamilton, suddenly it did seem kind of familiar. :D

Aside from those magnificent Abbey Road take-off paintings, I especially like the crowded view of the apartment buildings you must have shot from the brow. It looks like Sao Paulo or something.
