Provincial Budget

The difference is 905 politicians seem to be getting through to senior levels. There is a perception out there the 905ers got their house in order (true or not). We don't hear much from them except the pooling issue that got a lot of air play. Miller and Co. better start learning to kiss ass and play nice. Roll out the red carpet, make senior levels feel they are welcome and important. Negative campaigns trying to embarrass them to fork over more is not working. The winds of change are blowing and we will soon find ourselves with a majority Conservative government. Tell Jack and Stephane to take a hike and stand side by side with the PM. Now if this does'nt work and we still get the raw end of the stick, he might get some support. It's all about perception and TO acts like a spoiled kid with hissy fits. TO just a got a big Time Out and thats very popular with folks outside TO. Both McGuinty and Harper know its the 905 that will sweep them into a majority govt. Toronto has become irrelevent until we start getting some cabinet ministers who actually will do something. Not like those Liberal lugs who did nothing for this city for so many years.

What makes you think politicos respond to the city "making nice", when it is the votes that they really wanted?

Let me tell you what'd really work. Divest the city's social housing stock and the urban poor, and send them out to the burbs, where there is no infrastructure to deal with, much less the understanding these issues are a regional one. Cause as much havoc in the 905 as possible, particularly targeting quality of life effects. I bet you they'd be more amenable to listening then.
