Post your pictures of Toronto here!

Tried that forum link but there was an ultra-annoying and noisy plea for me to register so I passed. But the two or three reviews of the camera I've read do cite the same RAW processing problem. I imagine subsequent updates of Lightroom and other RAW developers will fix that. Otherwise, it looks to be a fine daily shooter that's very portable - my favourite class of camera, actually.

As for the last shot of mine, it's simply the remains of a Bulk Barn that's been forced to vacate the premises while the Leslieville Loblaws undergoes an upgrade to a Superstore. I've simply pushed my camera through a metal grate at the entrance. The colours are over saturated, thanks to PP in Lightroom.

Re: the camera, I would try it out in a store (ideally rent one for the weekend), to see if you can tolerate the EVF and LCD. It's a personal choice, and I'm happy enough with the IQ that it offsets and negatives the camera might have.

I had no idea that Loblaws was being re-done. The last time I lived out there was 2 years ago, and I distinctly remember that Loblaws never having fresh produce :s

It's very much changed, krooj. The produce is much better, and the organic section is growing steadily larger. I believe this is at least partially in response to the arrival of the Leslieville Farmers Market, which started up two summers ago and has been doing very good business. I think Loblaws has had to pull up its socks in response. You want lousy produce, there's always Price Chopper, across from the Loblaws on the west side of Leslie. Absolutely horrid. That said, Loblaws still has trouble keeping its shelves stocked. There's also a high turnover of employees. Seems in recent months it's hired many more part-timers. There's precious little sense of continuity there. It's not a great store by any means. Don't know if making it a Superstore will fundamentally change that.

Regarding cameras, I'm intrigued by some of the Sonys - the NEX-6 and the RX1 in particular. But next time I'm in a camera store I'll have a better look at the Fuji.
