PM Mark Carney's Canada

You'll have a point when you point to me a politician running on the basis of their support for Ukraine. I haven't seen it. I would be similarly appalled if a voter only cared about Canada's position on Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The Liberals. They made quite a bit of noise when the CPC didn't support Ukraine.

Carney and the Liberals don't have to worry about a NDP threat with this nonsense going on. Maybe the Green party can get their act together now.

The video cherry picking a moment and using it to rage-bait is more nonsense than what it shows. It's barely even nonsense because stuff like this isn't exactly uncommon... misunderstanding rules of procedure and being corrected/"scolded" for addressing someone improperly happens at all levels of sitting governments.

It rarely happens. The NDP has lost its way…unions, middle class workers laugh at this crap. The NDP used to represent hard working blue collar workers. it’s sad to see the party just dig itself into the ground like this.

Like i said. I really don't think the Liberals have anything to worry about with the current state of the NDP taking any of their votes. This ain't the Jack Layton NDP sadly.

If the chair were a man and was addressed as madam, or a woman and addressed as mister, the speaker would be corrected. The video doesn't show anything different.

The frock matters not to me, but what annoyed me was this speaker going on about Iran. I wish the moderator had cut in and said this has nothing to do with the NDP or Canadian politics.

It's too bad the party that professes to care the most about that comes with a whole bunch of cultural politics that most Canadians don't want to vote for. Gonna be a hard sell for most to vote for a party that has more Palestinian flags than Canadian ones at a rally.....
Did you even see Avi Lewis' speech?

I did. I would not vote for him or his part simply because I don't agree with his proposed level socialism.

I've chaired a number of meetings and have been mis-identified. I have also sat and watched female chairs be mis-identified. Whether the speaker was trying to be funny, disrespectful or simply stumbled over their words when public speaking, I don't know. I never corrected them; I might have made a joke in reply. Perhaps I don't live in a world where identity is a central issue.

As the old saying goes: 'call me anything - just don't call me late for dinner'.

Where are people saying women and gays can be oppressed?

Silence speaks volumes as they say. Especially when the same lot are far more noisy for lesser transgressions elsewhere.

What gets you labeled as a centrist is not saying you also oppose Supremacist Zionists.

Define Supremacist Zionist for me. Be specific.

Cause I have never once condoned settlement in the occupied territories. But I'm also not one who thinks "River to the sea" is acceptable. So this makes me sympathetic to "supremacist Zionists"?

This is what's wrong with the (far) left, not only are they ok with it happening "far away", but are complicit in importing those same problems too close to home (whether out of ignorance or outright malice).
Seriously, what the hell are you talking about?

What part of being for principles such as socialized healthcare and housing and being against war and letting corporations run amock and destroy the lives of the working class means that you're fine with atrocities committed by religious fanatics? Have you ever bothered to actually inquire about what leftists believe, or are you just listening to fearmongering from Fox News and Infowars?

I've often been mistaken for a woman (from behind) for many years. It used to irk me quite a bit, but when it happens these days it just makes me laugh 😆
