I think you are right canarob, that in specific areas of the GTA places to grow or the idea or threat of Places to Grow has had an impact. On the otherhand there are vast greenfield areas Places to Grow allows for growth (such as most of Southern Caledon) where you could build a city the size of Brampton from scratch. With each passing year any land restrictions will have a more and more pronounced impact but I think the speed of sprawl right now is being arrested as much by anti-development interest groups in places like Caledon than by growth boundaries.
