Wow - on two counts.
First - you found the right forum for this - congrats!
Second - that's quite the place coming down. No other info with the news report though, like why it's being bulldozed. Someone else can google why - I'm off to another thread.

Basically, the new owner decided it didn't have enough air conditioning.
The whole thing just screams "America!" to me.
First--build 55-room Spanish mansion in area with no Spanish heritage!
Wait 80 years--
Demolish for house of identical size and even more dubious style!
Because you don't like the air conditioning system!
In the middle of a recession when people are losing their homes left and right!
