Here's when NACI says you can get a booster after a COVID-19 infection​

The National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) has provided updated guidance on when to get a booster after a COVID-19 infection.

As booster doses are available to many Canadians, and with thousands of Canadians having had a recent COVID-19 infection, many were wondering when it was safe to get a booster.

The official word is here: NACI is advising people to wait until three months after the onset of symptoms or positive test.

According to the committee, waiting three months after an infection can provide a better immune response.

“Notably, NACI suggests that an mRNA booster be given at least six months after the previous dose or three months following infection, whichever is longer,” Canada’s Chief Public Officer of Health Dr. Theresa Tam said at a press conference on Friday.

I think this was always going to be the case, despite what all the nutjobs said. Restrictions will gradually ease and eventually end. Though this is a bit unclear whether Dr. Moore means 3 doses should be considered or the passport should end altogether.

Of course the timing of this is awful, and now the "freedom" crowd think they have some sort of victory and mandate to continue pushing conspiracies and hate.
 
I feel for the folks in Ottawa (and Alberta border). I can understand the police being careful as to not escalate the situation. As to finger pointing - it's really sad that all 3 levels of gov't can't get together with the same message. Blocking the streets is one thing, but being loud and preventing people from sleeping for 5 days (nights) in a row, that's just wrong.

I think most of the blame lies with the local police. They are just flat-out choosing to do nothing.

What can the Provincial or Federal government realistically do without looking like they're over stepping?
 
Anyone keeping tabs on what's happening in Toronto right now? I can see most of the roads around queens park are closed, including a large stretch of Bay. Reports are sparse from what I can tell though.

According to what I can tell from CP24 crowds are still gathering.

At 11:50 am the crowd was just leaving the Scarborough Town Centre heading down there.

Right now it is tame but tonight when police try to enforce the no encampment policy all hell will break loose
