I expected to see the standard fare hike I have seen these past 7 years for 2008 and it going to happen.
MT 2008 budget was presented today and in it call for the 8th year of $.10 in a roll fare hike on Feb 25-08. Formal approval will be given at Council on Wed.
Cash fare goes from $2.50 to $2.75 for a 10% increase
Weekly pass goes up $1 or $24 a week for a 4.3% increase
Tickets go up $.10 for a 4.9% increase.
Monthly Pass goes up $3 from $96 t0 $99 for a 3.1% increase
GO fare goes from $.55 to $.60 and continue move away what other systems $.50 and a 9.1% increase.
Wonderland goes up to $6.50 from $6 for a 8.3% increase.
GO sticker goes from $22 to $23 monthly for a 8.3% increase.
The new City Centre Shuttle bus will be $1 with no transfers.
Hour Charter rate will increase from $135/$270 to $145/$290 for a 7.4% increase.
