Moroccan cuisine in Toronto?

On my recent whirlwind tour of Europe, I did a day trip to Tangiers in Morocco where I had Moroccan food for the first time and loved it... especially this sweet pastry with minced meat covered in cinnamon and powdered sugar (part meal, part dessert). It was nice to know that, living in Toronto, there would be a good chance that I'd be able to eat Moroccan again when I returned home. Anyone know anything about Moroccan restaurants in Toronto?

Here's a pic of the band that was performing at the restaurant. I gave them 3 Euros... it seemed they had a tough time figuring out how to divide it amongst the four of them.

Boujadi on Eglinton near the Allen is a really good Kosher Moroccan restaurant (so no meat + dairy).

Thanks for the tip, pixel. I had Boujadi for dinner tonight - it was excellent. There was plenty of kosher meat on the menu but no dairy. Brought back memories of getting hustled by crooks and con-artists on the streets of Tangiers.

Glad you liked it. I just read a glowing review of another Moroccan restaurant called Lakasbah; on Bathurst near Lawrence I think.

I doubt its very authentic, but the "Morroccan Veggie Stew" at the Living Well (@ Yonge & Charles) is quite good.

JASON :)
