Mississauga's centre is growing up to look like North York Centre with many condominium towers rising around the lowrise Square One shopping mall. If only they can build a GO train connection here but I guess that's a bit too greedy. Its long-time mayor Hurricane Hazel was just as good at seeing the suburb's future as Mel Lastman to turn their bedroom communities into something more than rows of single-family houses.

More photos on my website : https://www.globalphotos.org/toronto.htm

This popped up in my ‘in tray’, Dundas and Hwy 10 in 1946. No known credit for this photo that I am aware of.

I’m not sure it looks more appealing in 1946 vs today.

I've looked all over this site and I'm a new user but there's a development near McLaughlin and Courtneypark which isn't on the map so I thought I could add it but I am not sure how. It's called Harmony Crossing and is located at 6611 Second Line (well it's a trail now). As far as I know it's in the construction phase as the google maps streetview shows that there were construction vehicles but their website says it was to be completed in 2024. The developer's instagram has been posting updates

Whenever I go past it, I always wonder what the deal is with the peculiar-looking vacant lot on the southeast corner of Dundas St W and Confederation Parkway in Mississauga. It has what appears to be paved driveways that look like they descend to what maybe had been parking entrances for a building or buildings that are no longer there. And this seems to be confirmed by checking the past Google street images that have a building there in 2009, but it's gone by 2011. And in some later ones, it appears some kind of preliminary construction work was happening, then abandoned. Some of the paved laneways inside the vacant lot have street names on Google maps -- Keeler Rd, Binbrook St, and Almart Ln.

There are names for streets, but they aren't actually city streets, because the townhouses will be condominium tenure rather than freehold.

Welcome to the forum! As far as I am aware, you have to have at least 15 posts on the forum in order to start a new thread for discussing a construction project, a feature designed to reduce spam messages.

Alternatively, you may request for someone else (staff, moderators) to create a thread if you cannot attain the 15-post threshold in time.

Anyways, the project you are referring to is actually located on Second Line West, just north of the 401:
