Miscellany Toronto Photographs: Then and Now

My first Then and Now, and I managed to catch it just in time. Scaffolding went up around the Hotel Quigley on Danforth this week and the building will soon be demolished for a new condo development.

2300 Danforth Avenue, between Morton Rd. and Patricia Dr., 1945

Third in my series called: 'Right Under Our Noses'.

Old tiled entrance. 183 King Street East. [east of Jarvis, just a few paces west of George]. I think this is called 'terrazzo'. There is a wonderful steel border around the lettering.

A new-ishly opened Tim Hortons in BCE Place (on the Yonge Street side) has a number of hockey history display cases you can peruse while you sip coffee. They're free to look at and this Timmys has some very luxurious seating.

I was wondering what was on the site of the new CIBC Square and found that it was Bayside Park - a baseball field in the 1910s+
The 'now" is thanks to @ProjectEnd on the CIBC Square thread.

Just south of the visitor parking of 33 Harbour square the mooring posts are still there, now away from the water edge and in the grass.

We absolutely need a photograph of those 'mooring posts' for history's sake.
Who's prepared to contribute it?
