Yes, it is confusing to have TWO "Wilson Yards" but here is the MX info on the 'merger' of theirs with the Don Yard.

I disagree because the two have different ownership and exist in two different regulatory environments. The use of either is context specific.

THIS Wilson Yard was used for many years to store work cars and old obsolete equipment - the "Crane Car' that is now at the rail museum on Bremner was stored there for quite a while before it was donated.

Indeed, I was one of the people who worked on moving and restoring it and its flatcar, too

For those not immediately placing Wilson Yard, this is an aerial pic showing both the existing GO Don Yard and the adjacent Wilson Yard, I have circled he latter in red.

^The images in the City's aerial photo collection do not show Wilson Yard at all clearly - so it's hard to deduce when it was built or what function it served. Nothing much can be found about it.
A leftover from when all the landfill was added to the harbour, perhaps ?

I think it was the 'shunting yard' for the Harbour Lead Line - which was under the Toronto Port Authority - and used to keep their wagons etc.

Wilson Yard back in 2019, a few of the tracks were already removed.

What was left of Keating Yard in 2019, just one yards track North of the lead most likely left as a runaround track.
