Imperial Oil Building - Fascinating History

This one makes me sad, it's such a beautiful building ... for it to be sitting empty ...

It's on a big lot as well, part of which should be developed.

Unfortunately, I can see this one sitting empty for a long time ... it would make very little sense for the *owner* to lease anything but extremely large amounts of space ... 5+ floors at the very least, and that's probably a good 100,000sqr ft.
There's just no demand for that amount of space in the area - smaller spaces sure but ... would be a good government / city building though.

It certainly is a shame that its sitting empty like this. Hopefully something comes of it.

This is possibly my favourite building in the city. It would probably be a tricky condo conversion, but if it happened I'd probably be sitting out in one of those "1Bloor" kind of lines just to live here. Imagine the view facing south.

16th floor, I think. It was the Shell Building, and that's where they had a sign mounted:
