Harry Stinson on the waterfront

Or as a promotion to raise awareness, how about dropping down a group of minor celebs, with requisite hot bod's and stylishly tousled hair, into some remote area of the waterfront where they will have to figure out where they are, and try to fathom the bizarre pointless mysteries and plot points that manifest each week and go nowhere. You know, like "Lost"!!

Please, please, PLEASE someone photoshop Harry Stinson's face on to that shot of Marlon Brando. I swear to you I would be forever grateful to you.

I actually think there is some merit to this idea. I don't quite understand the violent, profanity-laced reactions to this article. Perhaps someone could explain that whole thing to me.

I know that Harry says a lot of negative things about the city, but I think he does it because he actually cares. I don't necessarily agree with everything he says, but remember there's a saying that says that the opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference. He is certainly not indifferent.

I think people are just too sensitive about the way we do things around here, myself included at times. I sort of think we believe it's good just because it's the way we do it. I don't think we as a city and as a culture are anywhere near as open-minded as we tell each other we are.

It strikes me that to dismiss this design competition idea as complete nonsense is a mistake. I know they aren't the same, but look at what happened in Mississauga with one building. It really captivated people both there and in Toronto. Imagine a competition this big. The city could possibly get more worldwide attention than it's ever had for anything.

Does anyone else find Stinson's writing style vaguely reminiscent of miketoronto's?

Minus the spelling errors, of course.
