Could you walk me through the logic you used to arrive on track installation between Kennedy and Agincourt vs. Agincourt and Unionville? It doesn’t seem intuitive to me, but you’re the local timetable expert.

For whatever it’s worth, the fourth track bridge over Woodbine is complete along with ballast laid.

They're changing the schedule for Agincourt and stations north, which means that the time was added between Kennedy and Agincourt
It's most intuitive if you think of a northbound train:
Union: same time as usual
Kennedy: same time as usual
Agincourt: later than usual
Milliken: later than usual
etc.

Anyone have any observations on what theyve done in the stoufville line thus weekend? Did they actually do connecting track work on the line? Some drone shots would be nice

Thats underwhelming.... what about the other sections where they had equipment mobilized on the track? Please tell they did at least SOMETHING.....You ring.

^Those are really nice shots to show the current status of the bridge construction- which pretty clearly isn't where the work is happening this weekend. They also show clearly why the bridge prevents use of double track between Agincourt and Milliken....
Just a theory, but next time someone might check the locations where the track "zigged" between east and west tracks. One suspects that the work blocks are to remove these, creating a single straight-through track alignment. That might at least finalise double track from the Highland crossovers south to Oakworth, which is just north of Kennedy station.

What is the plan for completing that bridge anyways? Do they intend to finish it within this election cycle or will they keep it up their sleeve for their next election goodies promise?

If reaper is correct, the construction should be a bit further south of Agincourt station starting around the former Ellesmere SRT station south to Kennedy.
If the diversion track was converted to a fully operation double track you’d see it just north of Kennedy to just south of Ellesmere SRT station with no breaks in the rails/switches installed.
The other areas that need track are a bit north of Agincourt station, near the TTC maintenance garage and at Milliken station.
I’m on vacation until July 8. I have a decent memory of the track. Worst case I’ll write some notes on my morning commute and report back. This will include any work completed during the second weekend closure.

The GO Expansion update to Toronto city council in November 2024 said it would be done summer 2026.
A Reddit comment from a few weeks ago suggested when work began on the bridge it was negatively impairing the freight rail bridge above it, so all work stopped a few years ago.

If that is indeed the case it is extremely disappointing but not surprising at the snail pace infrastructure work is taking here. I've seen and personally oversaw 60s towers get built in a site that size in shorter time without disturbing neighboring sites. Once again ML sitting on their hands

I may have asked before but...
If we're waiting for the culverts to be extended, what's the next timing window? MNR identifies this as warm water habitat with Rainbow Trout identified, so the timing window for NO in-water work is suggested to be March 15 to June 15. So that's one explanation for a hiatus of work up until this point, and the other being spring flows.
