I propose something along the lines of a "Events, Restaurants and Shopping" top-level thread.

- It would be good to share information not only about the *containers* and *arrangement* of our city, but the *content* as well.

- perhaps the relatively minor role of what is available to buy, eat and do is a contributing factor to the male domination of the board

- damn it, i love to eat, and i want to know the best places to get food!

- it would be nice to *meet* those of the opposite sex, but with the same interest in urban issues!

There have to be women out there who are interested in planning and architecture (admittedly less train buffs, though )

In fact, so many well written architectural columnists are femme.

Just wait until the day that Jean Paul Gaultier designs a condo tower out of chocolate, and you'll see the ladies rolling into the forum.
