From the Toronto Star Archives in the TPL, a 1945 photo that illustrates the effect that a “town-buster” bomb would have on downtown Toronto:
Original caption in the Star:
The City Blocks is the area devastated by one Town Buster bomb; according to report. This seven-block area in Toronto stretches from Bay St. running left to the foreground to University Ave. at top of picture and from Pearl St. on the left, Richmond St. right. Buildings are from left: Trusts and Guarantee; Canada Government; Northern Ontario with Concourse behind it, and Sterling towers on right.
