In addition to the Google maps, embedding Youtube videos and the separate Youtube HD tag would be cool also.

Having an option for embedding opens up the option for attacks on the site.

I agree - I think the site needs to evolve with technology. Having active media right in the posts instead of following external links (which a lot of people are too lazy to do) would be great!
