Early 2009 Completion Dates

I have a 2 year commitment to my employer here in Amsterdam but in early 2009 I will be returning to T.O. - at least, that is the plan.

I'm thinking of putting a down payment on a pre-construction or under-construction condo that will be ready or almost-ready when I get back. I was hoping that you guys could help me narrow the list of potential buildings.

I'm looking for something that:
1) has a reasonable chance of being completed in early 2009
2) is downtown south of bloor between bathurst and parliament (although I can be flexible)
3) reasonably priced - say, $250k for a 1 bedroom + den - parking not needed

Does anyone know when Vu is scheduled to be completed?

Give West Side Lofts a shot. They should be in that price range and occupancy (last time in checked in May) would be May 2009.

There is also a project called Glas on King and Spadina, which is a bit more expensive. I think their occupancy is May 2009 (however, I understand that they will be building the Phase II tower of an adjacent project called The Hudson, which is right now an empty lot, so don't expect any great views).

I know all this because I just bought a place called Edge Lofts (occupancy July 2007).
