Buying a house in Toronto?

Hello everybody, I'm from Italy and I have a quick question for you.
I'm thinking to relocate in Canada, my wife is born in Toronto but now we live here in Italy. So can you give me some information about rent or buy an house, condo.. which taxes are there and so forth. Thanks
