Broadview Eastern Flood protection and area

do you have a link to the timeline for this?
It does depend on if we are talking about the same ramp (The Gardiner to Lakeshore ramps that were east of the Don Roadway and west of Logan) that they knocked down in 2021 (gosh, time flies).

There's a lot of discussion in the Gardiner thread. A quick reference is Google Maps. That date there hasn't changed since the ramp was closed (the note is a bit far west these days, but it was further east as well originally).

The city notice saying 2030 is at https://www.toronto.ca/services-pay...expressway-and-lake-shore-boulevard-closures/

There's some discussion in section 5 of https://www.toronto.ca/services-pay.../gardiner-expressway-rehabilitation-strategy/ . There's a discussion in the news article - https://toronto.citynews.ca/2023/06/07/toronto-drivers-speak-out-on-newly-rebuilt-gardiner-on-ramp/

No, it doesn’t exist yet publicly. @nfitz comment is written with tongue in cheek, but makes a worthwhile point this would be temporary on the order of several years.
It's been published many times. I was 100% serious. A 9-year closure. Even the 5 years to go sounds absurd. But there's the date - August 31, 2030. I suppose it might be expediated per the provincial government. But it doesn't go to Etobicoke ... so who knows.

okay thanks for this info!

not the ramp I meant though, I meant the ramp from eastbound Adelaide/Eastern onto northbound DVP, the one that's in the middle of this flood protection project

WellI I have egg on my face… but you’ve even more. You’ve failed to read any context in this thread.

I would hope they would expedite this, as in my understanding a big reason Adelaide and Richmond are the way they are (one way streets with traffic lights theoretically programmed for though traffic) is to connect to the DVP there, so it's a pretty important ramp.

Yes, it's important. They'll have to do it before they close the current DVP to Gardiner ramp. Which is the a prerequisite to both completing the new DVP to Gardiner ramp and the new Gardiner to Lakeshore ramp.

Yeah, I guess it's a different ramp. I hadn't realized that this project only covers Broadview north of East Harbour station and not around the Broadview and Lakeshore intersection. It's all interconnected.

Just posted on Facebook by Waterfront Toronto:

Construction Update: Broadview & Eastern Flood Protection Project

Starting as early as late September, eastbound Eastern Avenue at Broadview will be reduced to one lane for watermain work. Some overnight full closures of the Don Valley Parkway on-ramp and the Broadview & Eastern intersection are expected, with possible nighttime noise.

Tree and shrub removal will also take place this fall near the DVP on-ramp, north of Eastern Avenue and along Sunlight Park Road.

Please note that another notice will be distributed at a later date with more information regarding confirmed dates and construction staging.
