What a sad streetscape. That streetwall should’ve been much higher. Looks awkward at 1 storey with such a wide sidewalk and road.

I'm inclined to agree, I generally take a dim view of a 1s streetwall, 2s can work, on a smaller, more intimate street......1 is tough, though I'd like to see more views.......

What I note first is the wide sidewalk, ample room for patios.......but we have Rexall for a tenant...........

The interlock pattern is nice...........but the amount of empty space if you don't have a patio is a problem. You at least need more vegetation and/or seating.

The applicant is proposing to change the Port Credit Local Area Plan Special Site policies to allow for a maximum building height of 35 storeys, an additional 898 dwelling units and to remove the requirement for second storey commercial space within the waterfront parcel.

There is a wide sidewalk area, but no bike lanes. From Mississauga Road going westbound, there is this wide sidewalk areas on each side of the street that could, and in my mind, should have been incorporated in new Developement and redevelopment of the Lakeshore to create seperated bike lanes. These would tie into the existing off-road multi use trail extending westerly to the lakeside parks and Clarkson. Easterly is harder, but bike lanes across the river, through the redeveloped parks, and using both Port Street and Stavebank/Park Street would bring access to Hurontario (Hwy 10) and the GO/HM lines connections. With the developing populations in these areas, one would think, but I guess not.

The purpose built rentals are not started yet. Dream just changed the design from condos for sale to PBRs. So likely another 3-4 years before we see occupancy on PBRs.

There is likely individual condos for rent by owner though.

I'm not interested to rent from condo owners.
 
I actually dropped by here during the lunch hour today to visit Farmboy and check out the LCBO. After seeing it from the air for so many years it was actually cool to walk on property.
