We had an emporio Armani, but they closed during the recession. We need a Giorgio Armani...I don't know if d and g would open a store here. They're in a few select cities.

Yes, I remember that. At the time when it opened, it was the second or third one in N.A. I could see D&G opening up. They have a decent presence in both Holts and Harry Rosen and I'm sure would welcome a larger space on a premier street.

The Courtyard restaurant has closed and will become The Oxley.

Good riddance. That place was absolutely brutal. Just BRUTAL. Service was lacklustre, food was terrible and ambiance was non-existent.

I guess the one on Yorkville Avenue (Four Seasons) is shuttering, huh?

I'm not so sure. I can't quite read the construction permit (the fence is a couple meters away from the window and my aging eyes aren't up to the task), but I think under "project description" it says "Bank". And the way the space is shaping up doesn't look very Starbucksy.

Not the greatest link in the world but Ferragamo has confirmed that it is scouting Toronto locations. My guess is taking over the old LV space or Tiffany when it becomes available.
