Bloor West Village Last Night/Early Morning

As I was taking the 300 Blue Bus home along Bloor Street last night at 5:30 AM everything seemed normal until we passed High Park station. Somewhere in between High Park and Runnymede (closer to High Park), the street lights as well as the store and traffic lights stopped working hence the Bus had to use high beams. This lack of lighting went throughout BloorWest Village and extended all the way to the Humber River bridge before Old Mill Station. I couldn't help but notice that the street lights along the side streets were working perfectly. Anybody knows what was going on?

Maybe they were all installed, and now all failed together?

... or maybe they dimmed them out of respect, so as not to outshine Mislav's brilliance as he glided past in his gilded rococo state carriage?
