Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

were not asia, bad comparison.

Why? Are we somehow better then them? Do we deserve better then those pitiful people living in Asia?

I doubt there's a building of similar height on this planet with as poor an architectural pedigree as this one. Truly disgraceful that this one flew through unopposed. Shows Toronto for what it is--a greed driven, provincial hicktown at heart with more money than pride, vision or good taste.

You obviously haven't seen what else is out there, there's plenty worse;

All of those are 800ft tall or more and there's a lot more where that came from.

So is that enough or are you guys still going to bitch and moan like we got saddled with the worst building on the planet? :rolleyes:
Heck we even have a far worse building of similar height in this city!

Toronto is also 80 years behind Manhattan in terms of architecture. Try to imagine the Empire State Building clad in glass and spandrel, with a crappy podium and even crappier underground mall.

take a few minutes to think about your post

This tower is solidly 'ok'. There's little wonder it is better appreciated when seen from afar or at night. It's a shame it's not better though, given the size and prominence of location. We throw around the word 'landmark' or icon here a lot but this was arguably the best location with the most potential for one, it only required some more refined design and attention to detail. This could have been Toronto's 'Empire State' moment, so to speak.

In the picture from Humber Bay shores, does it look like they are fixing the part where the slope stops and goes vertical? (he says hopefully...)

Good eye. I think (hope) so too. Thankfully this is still under construction. A lot of details to iron out at the top.
