They have had work lights on the crane illuminating the top, and I guess they turned on the warning beacon with the crane removal imminent
 
If they are going to light the roofline at night, do they really need those red lights?

Guessing here but the red lights are probably legally required for a building of this height (especially given the close proximity to airport). The roofline lights are just there for aesthetics and serve no other purpose. They aren't required by law to be on.
 
I understand that the red safety lights are reserved mostly for the tallest buildings of their immediate area. I know the previous tallest in the are were ROCP. Now that Aura trumps them in height and is next door, I don't really see the point in ROCP keeping them on. Not sure what happens in that situation.

the (final?) pieces of steel have gone up on the western slope, sealing the gap.
