Yet ironically, unlike many serious new Modernist designs around the city, there's actually an attempt to integrate the mechanical components on the roof into the architecture.

Sadly I kinda like it. But then I like most of Daniels' stuff in MCC. And I'd like their stuff in NYC if it had been taller.

I concur with junctionist and Coruscanti Cognoscente ~
as much as I hate crappy quality that Daniels built in the GTA, I do like the architecture / exteriors of their buildings, in particular, the most impressive in my mind was One Park Tower and Arc Condos (even those those were cheap looking inside) ... as junctionist notes, these buildings some with 'fake' architectural details that many UT members hate in fact does a GREAT job intergrating / hiding the otherwise ugly rooftop mechanical units which is unfortunately too typically seen on top of so-call modern glass box-shaped towers (X condos being the worst)
To give an balanced opinion, I do recognize though that several modern glass boxes do present good looking treatments to hide the rooftop mechanical, and these credits go to One Bedford, Success Tower, Festival Tower (possibly), Murano, Casa, Matrix / Harbour View / Montage / Luna @ Cityplace

With those 8? retail spaces at the base, it going to take a long time to fill them.
Over all, this building has turn out nicely and better than others I have seen.

Thankfully the much dreaded roof arches were never implemented.

Great to see street fronting retail in an area that doesn't have any. We need every new development on major streets to do this.
