You got it isaidso. Sidewalk leading to the entrance of the Royal Canadian Yacht Club. Not sure what they did differently back then but do you notice there are no cracks in the concrete.

I did notice that and it threw me off a little. I didn't think that was even possible in our climate.
 
Concrete doesn't really crack as severely as asphalt does with temperature fluctuations. That is why the 407 is always so smooth while almost every other road in Toronto needs annual repairs. Maybe the light foot traffic in comparison to other sidewalks and a lack of salting is responsible for the good condition?
