As a women’s-only detox centre scrambles to find a new home, officials and police are warning about a possible Moss Park site

Local councillor says police have warned her the area’s resources are strained, but health workers fear for vulnerable women if Women’s Own isn’t able to find a new site by its Nov. 30 deadline.

The detox dates back to 1998, and has been run by the University Health Network at 892 Dundas St. W. in Trinity-Bellwoods. But UHN says its landlord has expressed interest in redeveloping and it was unable to resign a lease for when their current one expires on Nov. 30.

Curious of what kind of density they can get here. Nero would typically be the benchmark, but this site isn't a corner lot. They'd still want at least 5 or 6 storeys to make it worthwhile though.
 
I'm a tenant in that house with the white siding... been here for over 6 years. The space was an empty parking lot and often empty granite building. Excited to have something interesting going in, but not sure that this style of architecture fits in with the surrounding buildings or the neighbourhood at all. Looks very LA, with my quaint little 70s townhouse stuck to it 😂
 
This stretch of Dundas is getting the full bougie treatment as the French restos and independent cafés open!
