While there has been yet more slippage, this one looks like it has a firm launch date.

June '24.

Given the nearness and a pending meeting with CMHC (firm date) this is big, as this is a very large project to get off the ground, even if it is very late.

All that from this report to the next meeting of CreateTO:

* grumble *

I do not see any building permit applications filed.

If they want to really (not ceremonially) break ground in June those need to have been filed by now...... sigh. Amateur hour continues.

Thanks for posting. Once this gets built there will be 4,713 units here built in the last decade which will be just over 9,000 residents. A true TOD if I ever saw one! Basically a new neighbourhood.

An update on this one, in the latest report to CreateTO:

So....we're modestly (further) delayed here...........but CMHC was yesterday maybe we can confirm the outcome of that, if that's a go then we are a step closer.

There are, however, still, no permit applications.

I'm going to say right now that all but rules out a start before Labour Day. It would require very expedited service from buildings. I'm not clear on why these have not been filed.

CMHC's approval is not required to file for permits.

Not only did they not hit their summer target, it looks increasingly challenging to see mobilization by year end.

So.......Financing is close to a deal, but not done........

Site Plans are to be resubmitted this month * I have confirmed they have not yet been resubmitted as at September 3rd.

I'm very familiar with the area but I find those renders disorienting. I'm not sure what perspective each of them is taken from.

I assume the first picture is looking northwest because you can see Allen Rd. in the background. I'm not sure about the rest.

I am really glad to see the commuter parking lot being redeveloped into greater housing but I do feel it is a bit of a lost opportunity. The connection between Subway and Bus at Wilson is some of the worst on the entire system. Several escalators to get from Subway, under Allen Road and then back up again to the bus station adds so much time to any journey. I wish they'd integrated the bus station into this development to allow for quicker connections to between modes. Alas, I'm sure they'll redevelop the bus station at some point too.

How would they connect the busses to the subway? The highway is in between them.

I'm glad this is being built. However, the amount of condos being built next to highways such as the 401/Allen here is confusing. How did fumes based developments in Toronto become this mainstream?
