Projects like this are being developed all over. Not everyone is interested in assembling lots and building something mid rise with a mix of uses. It's a lot more complex and expensive.

I like this actually. Although I like high buildings they have their place as do low rise neighbourhoods. This is more of a low rise area and I think it is fitting and to scale for this hood.

Almost none of Kensington is less than 2 storeys (mezz not withstanding)

...and all of Spadina/Chinatown is over 2 storeys...
