Just noticed that after about fifty years of selling Christmas Trees and the like, this site is fenced, site clearing is ongoing, and signage is up for a retirement home Developement. I assume then that the older gentleman who owned the site, Bob ?, has sold and hopefully retired to enjoy the proceeds. Anyways another change to Bronte, to go along with the other posted changes. Will try to run down some developer information.

Succession Developement Corp re Oakville Retirement Residence

The site is located in the prestigious area of Bronte Village, on the south side of Lakeshore Road, just east of Jones Street. The Site features great visibility (including lake views) and drive-by traffic, and Lakeshore Road contains commercial and public amenities. A major mixed-use redevelopment is planned to commence shortly located just west of the proposed site on Lakeshore Road.

This development project is an exciting mixed-use urban project. The retirement home will be four storeys containing approximately 110 units. The main entrance and lobby will front on Lakeshore Road. Separate ground floor retail space within the building will also front on Lakeshore Road. The building will contain underground parking for the retirement home.

I happened to be shooting through Brontë today and seniors densification is well underway, with the crane going up, and those boys are welcome to the job. They were skootimg around up there with abandon, not something I would be doing.

The other two separate
