And some lane closures are coming due to telecommunications/hydro relocations. Jeez I thought they'd done enough of that kind of work around here.

Very cool! This must be that blue scaffolding I noticed them slowly building up for several months now.
Do we think that they will have to use it to lift tunnel segments into the pit or perhaps to fix the TBM?
What could it accomplish that the red crane could not

Building the station already? They only dug 1/6 of the total tunnel length so far
As far as I know the site is still needed to deliver tunnel segments and remove soil.......

I would assume that this is the crane that will eventually build the station.
Maybe they ordered the full size crane for now, expecting to be much further along on the tunnel, and so they're just going to be using it for tunnelling support for the time being.

You got it. I operate the blue crane, which has more reach, so it's faster and more efficient than the red crawler crane, but as the crawler is mobile it can access areas that I can't reach. This is the send and receive point for all tunnel boring operations on this line.

This is Sheppard, where were tunneling through Scarborough Centre, Lawrence, and into Kennedy.
