Just reviewed the proposed 2017+ budget for Parks, Forestry and Recreation.

I won't repeat everything here.

So I'll start w/the link for the interested.

Things that stood out to me:

1) Funding is attached beginning this year for park at 318 Queen's Quay West.

That's the parking lot on the north side.

I rather suspect its only design this year. Though construction has 100k attached for this year.

Current budget over 3 or so years is 4M, that seems low.

2) Harbour Square Park now has a 1M listed for this year.

If that's all design, I'm expecting miracles in construction. If its construction......I wonder what's planned.

3) More than $600,000 is marked in different funds for Queen's Park. No detail on what items are funded.

4)Allen Garden's Washroom building is funded for this year.

5) Bike Trail extensions for the East Don, among others, are funded, this year.

6) The new pool for St. Jamestown is construction funded, this year.

7) $695 for parks running parallel to the Danforth from Logan to Langford

8) Washrooms for Leslie Spit are funded for this year

Thanks - pretty pitiful. As to Harbour Square Park - maybe Phase 1A of the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal? It's pretty much all pathway and lighting work for the park.
