Much is often made in our fine forum of how the City could do a better job with respect to streetscapes and improving the urban aesthetic in general.

Herewith, a sample of what the City may do in 2012 for the perusal of the membership.

A brief note though, the City basically has 2 envelopes of money for this sort of thing, one is through BIAs and the Economic Development unit, that money is not listed below.

This is the money that will be spent in non-BIA areas by City planning.

*** add three zeros to end of the budget numbers, ie. 300 = $300,000

"A" List is where the money should go; "B" list is where money will go if a project on A is cancelled or deferred.

Can't disagree with anything on this list.

Other notes:

- I have noticed a significant stretch of Finch from Yonge to Bayview resurfaced recently, so some progress there
- Dufferin from Springhurst: I think the TTC is rebuilding this track along with other non-revenue, tangent track next year as most of the track along the major routes (Spadina excepted) has been rebuilt
- Bay and Davenport: this may be a joint City/Bay-Bloor BIA initiative as now that Bloor is done, Bay north of Bloor as well as Cumberland are up for badly-needed renewal

Notable is the absence of any work planned along Bathurst and Dufferin north of Eglinton, which are both sorely needed.
