Can we raise our standards a little bit? A building following the curve of the road is not sophisticated; it's a logical approach to site.

Some projects don't follow the curve. It's probably cheaper not to do so.

Oh, of course some projects don't; most probably don't. But it's not a big feature that garners a project extra points when the rest of the design is tacky and heavyhanded.

These sidewalks in front of 133 Hazelton are way better than what we usually get. I look forward to seeing the same thing for 181 Davenport.

This second building doesn't have the off putting pinkish precast that its sister does next door.

181's "brick" looks better than 133's precast but I'm looking forward to the next phase.

The black top on this is just so weird. It references the style of a restored heritage building with an additional couple of floors added. I suppose there is some flattery towards projects like the Dineen Building (for example), but to have it all be on a new building only further accentuates its absurdity and its embarrassing nature.
