This site, known colloquially as the Crown Life Building......is the subject of a report to next week's Preservation Board:

I have, however, treated it above as possible development site. Infer what you will.

Interesting. There was a plan to stick some density on top here about 15 years ago. Never went anywhere though.

The firm Marani & Morris evolved into RDH and along the way they did the rear addition too.

Ha! I knew I remembered the north half was a later addition but couldn't find the evidence. Thanks @AlexBozikovic! Which year / month's RAIC Journal is that?
