    Hamilton King William Urban Rentals | 97.56m | 30s | LIUNA | Graziani + Corazza

The law of supply and demand will take effect either way. If they have troubles renting out a substantial amount of units at their current pricing - then they'll have no choice but to drop the price. Getting some money is better than no money.

Not sure if that's a little concerning or not. Don't know if this is common with new rental buildings. Looking at their Instagram page - I see an older post that expired at the end of June that offered to cover moving expenses up to $1,500. And previously it was the same offer + 1 month free...

Yeah, this will get shot down because of blah blah blah. "Battlefield is kitty-corner to this. We can't have condos/apartments there - it'll ruin the aesthetics of the area! The gas station, oil change shop, donut shop and 80% unused lot are perfectly fine though." Weird that google maps...

I thought this was a condo development, but apparently it's offering "condo-style rental suites". Someone I know was contacted a couple years ago about buying a unit, but he wasn't interested. My cousin recently inquired about buying a unit and they stated that's it's rental. Did something...

It's been a while, but I remember the train ride being about 1h 5m - but maybe I'm misremembering... the bus took about 15 minutes. But, yeah - it could be 3 hours per day if you figure in for delays anyways. In any case, when you're younger - you sometimes have to sacrifice your personal...

I live in the east end bordering Stoney Creek and did the bus to Hunter and GO Train to Toronto commute for 22 years. Over 2.5 hours commuting each day. WFH for over 9 years now. I ain't switching back. Just can't do it anymore.

If I lived in a condo/apartment that's less than 1,000 sq. ft, the separate office space would be welcome so you don't feel as cooped up in your small unit all the time. Plus, depending on how often you can use it, not needing a desk in your unit allows the space to be used for something else...

Yeah, I don't see Hunter station going away. So many buses stop near it coming from the east, west and mountain. Take it away and then it's a chore to get from the core to the West Harbour station. How many buses are going to get you to it from the core, and how often to they run? And it's a...

    Hamilton 399 Greenhill Avenue | 42m | 12s | Medallion | IBI Group

The retail that's currently there isn't anything to be proud of. A bank, Shoppers, pizza place, cleaners, laundromat, hair salon, convenience store and dental center. Grocery stores keep failing there (ie. Delessio's and Foodland). And the new proposal provides space for retail anyways. And...

One of the renders shows a space (or spaces) with place-holder signage of "Shopping". I have to believe they'll have something. This neighborhood is used to having a Shoppers and a convenience store in walkable distance. The closest convenience store in this area is about a 20 minute walk...

    Hamilton Confederation GO Station | ?m | 1s | Metrolinx

8-10 minutes is fantastic... and even 15 minutes is solid. That's not much more time added to a Hamilton-Toronto commute. It's fast to get across town as well, I just don't know many would take advantage of it. Confederation is out of the way for a lot of people who aren't driving there. And...

    Hamilton Queenston Condos | 55m | 17s | LJM | RAW Design

Maybe I'm losing it, but all the renders I've seen for this looks to be 11 or 12 storys at most. Are the renders just not up to date, because I'm not seeing 16 or 17. In any case, I have to believe the units are pretty small - even the 2 and 3 bedroom units. The lot they're using isn't very big.

It's smaller than I thought it would be. There's also less space dedicated to shelved items than I thought. It looks like a small convenience store that happens to sell hot foods.

The black ceiling was a mistake. Makes it more gloomy.

    Hamilton 2900 King Street East | 69.2m | 20s | Camarro Group | RAW Design

This development won't do anything to take away from Battlefield Park - in the same way all around it there's Highway 20, a 6 story apartment building, 3 story apartment building, gas station, a convenience store and homes isn't taking anything away from it. Hell, in about 2009 there were 2...

Google tells me it's 354 vs. 266. I guess the average unit size will be smaller for 1 Jarvis.

High Immigration and the Housing Crisis

Yeah, I was going to respond but wasn't sure if I missed the point. Supply and demand are linked - a problem with one will result in a problem with the other.
