The wind tunnel effect of skyscraper canyons is one thing I dislike about large cities like Toronto. It can be downright brutal depending on the season

That's a good thing lol So many renderings have "bait and switch" from renderings to final product due to value engineering of materials

Typically the highest floor of any given store (or mall in general) gets the least amount of customer traffic so I'm not surprised

I'd compare it to all of Peel Region and stand by my assessment. To each their own.

Besides a handful of areas Mississauga looks like a giant subdivision of cookie cutter housing. It's just my opinion. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, I don't get it. Plus like I previously stated they could pull from the 525,000+ people in Niagara by choosing Limeridge. Compare men's clothing prices at The Bay to Simons. Simons is almost always better value for the money. I don't consider either store luxury. Holt Renfrew is luxury...

It would be hard to beat 'Sauga for food. Numerous restaurants from any cuisine you can imagine. Agreed those are better malls than Square One and those two are among the best in Canada. Limeridge Mall in Hamilton really needs a Simons. It has hundreds of thousands more potential customers to...

It's not just St. Catharines. The Niagara region has wide open spaces, lakefront/beaches on both Lake Ontario and Lake Erie, the Niagara Parkway stretching from Fort Erie to the picturesque Niagara-on-the-Lake, hiking in the Niagara escarpment/Niagara Gorge. 100+ wineries, dozens of golf...

One of my close friends was born and raised in Mississauga and now has lived in St. Catharines/Niagara for around a decade. The only thing he misses is the diversity in the restaurant scene. The sprawl, traffic, endless cookie cutter homes, subdivisions of Mississauga he can't stand. He likes...

Showed this project (via text) to my best friend in Buffalo. He said: "That new build is really nice looking. I can't believe they don't build anything like that in Buffalo. I would totally move into something like that... Well if it was affordable." For what it's worth guys I meant the area of...

Haha that's Allentown, Pennsylvania. I mean the traditional Bohemian neighborhood of Buffalo centered on Allen St (American spellings for an American city)

I just realized that the north side of Augusta St gives me Allentown/Allen St, Buffalo vibes I know it's not the same, it just struck me now and I never realized it before. https://maps.app.goo.gl/kL1HuB963JEwNQgf8

Since I haven't been down there (Augusta St, or Hamilton for that matter) in a long time: How does the Core Urban project 'The Chelsea' look? This area's gonna have so many more people living nearby with this--75 James, and Cobalt/King William Urban Rentals.

Not to mention new places may open up nearby

Same thing happens in Buffalo. The owners of vast amounts of commercial/retail let properties, storefronts sit vacant for years in some cases. Ugh

At least with LiUNA you know the guys are paid a union/tradesman living wage while constructing the building. Vranich allegedly starts construction without the proper permits and his builds go up so fast and then look unfinished, who knows who he employs at what wages.

    Hamilton King William Urban Rentals | 97.56m | 30s | LIUNA | Graziani + Corazza

Glad to see it open. What's the final unit count? I recall seeing 525, 530, all the way to 581 units https://sgconstructors.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/King-Williams-Residence-Profile.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwi6zuHUo7GGAxUXlokEHct5A88QFnoECBIQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1KU2wWN-QzLNSUfdUdRJKJ

Except this particular site has languished for years and multiple owners all offering worthless promises.
