~10% response rate is decent for surveys - but +20% in research is typically preferred. Also, I think you meant to say "you are NOT convinced". It is one data point of many we should consider. Again, I'll state I am surprised a TMU student project is the only one that is trying to tackle...

Never said racist. I just found it funny that people were complaining about the "good ol days" of simple food like Harveys when everything from sushi, lunchboxes, arepas, etc. are quite simple - just not white basics. I agree on this point; at least until we get a reliable and frequent headway...

Nice to see that when the "mods" are upset, they can get off topic too. Glad we're all the same page :) Anyways, interesting study going around on mode-shift of students pre and post COVID: ;https://transformlab.torontomu.ca/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/PDF-Haseeb_Mitra_TRB2024-1.pdf...

The point is that everyone must suffer equally. This is not about fact or reason, which is why reasoned responses won’t work.

I love how people defended drivers by saying road design was bad so they drove badly. We redesigned the road for complete streets and they just wrote to Doug Ford to get rid of them. Turns out it is just rotten people all along :) But do not worry, you will be notified in the Queens Gazette as...

It’s amazing to see Canadian bureaucracy continue to eat itself.

Guys. Don’t make the mods reparent y’all again. You need to do this in the other obscure chat.

Not since the pandemic. It's a great mix of lifestyle brands and fast food - they serve commuters and the arena/concert goer crowd. Kibo deals are work (50%) are also great for a grab and go dinner and cashless makes the transactions faster. This reminds me of people here thinking anything...

Buzz off. Accessibility advocates seem to think they should be able to drive everywhere. One day, you'll want to be able to drive literally into a restaurant for "equity" reasons. I blame progressives too - they started these "equity" wars.

I am convinced this country will never know how to build public transit. Best solution is to buy a car and take care of yourself. Do they give you lobotomy the minute you join any government or government agency?

Meh, barely critical. Unfortunately, the lanes will be gone and this thread will go back to the bottom of the forum lol.

It's cute you think they're coming back.

This would require that most city staff care about actually making a difference. Too many are too busy doing two jobs from their homes in Barrie to care.

    It’s what Canada deserves.

This is not a critical mass. This looks like special interest hippies to most people.

How many are we actually talking about? I doubt the casual bikeshare-r will show up.

This is kinda hilarious lol - nice while it lasted :)

Don't tempt them! Complete streets feels very elitist to those in the suburbs.

You can have nice teeth or bike lanes. You gotta pick.

The extension into Etobicoke was bizarre as that is Fordland and will always trigger Doug the Defender However, yet to see data on mode shift from car to bike. Hypothesis still is from transit to bike, which does mean we are effectively adding more volume to the roads.
