NIN were incredible there last month! All in all the arena was impressive and definitely comparable with most modern, big-city arenas. The most striking thing for me was how much this will benefit the Hamilton economy - on a cold, Wednesday night in February on the day of a freezing rain storm...

Don't forget AFL which has a league average of 38k (and the stadiums double up as cricket stadiums)...

Why didn't they just use those bollards all the way round instead of some of those, plus the ugly concrete blocks?

Not as spectacular but I still like it and this size of venue + more hotel rooms are both going to be great additions to the city. Plus, Exhibition Place badly needs more going on.

The permanent north end structure is definitely giving it more of a feel of an enclosed, complete stadium 👍

Grey seats 😣 Assuming they're replacing all seats in the stadium, they better change them back to red after the World Cup.

This area still has office space at T3 Bayside, Corus, Waterfront Innovation Centre, the Daniels building, as well as a little (I think?) still planned at Quayside - still a fair amount?

With TFC playing less summer games from now on with the change in the MLS schedule, there's actually a huge opportunity for this team if they can get the move to Lamport sorted sooner rather than later.

They've consistently had the lowest/second lowest average attendances in the Canadian Premier League, usually between the 1 and 2k mark. The Wolfpack at Lamport showed how high the potential of a pro sports team located there can be with cheap tickets and a community feel.
